Home Made

The best presents we are told are the ones that are home made and come from the heart. The girls are very excited this year about their biggest and best Christmas present, which might just turn out to be a New Years, and maybe even Valentines present as well.

1 Week

Sarah Elizabeth Hamblin 1 week old.
We decided to try a photo shoot and this was the only photo that I liked. I guess we will have to try again another time. I guess I am not as skilled as my sister. Grandma Hamblin also made the girls dresses for Christmas so we had to take a picture of them all together, also not a good pic.

3 happy sisters

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Moment You've All Waited For!!!

She's here! Finally! I must say this was the easiest of all my labors, probably because of the Epidural. Yes, I know, after 1 attempted and 1 successful natural labor, that is with no pain killers, I finally decided to have a nice comfortable labor. It was very nice to be able to relax through most of the process and be able to take the final stages slowly and not tear, not feel like I want to rip the doctors head off when hes not ready to catch my baby. Well enough about what I went through cause I know most of you are not going to read this and just skip to the pictures so I will post a few.

Sarah Elizabeth Hamblin was born on December 11th, 2008 at 2:16 pm

Family and Friends were present

She weighed 8lb 7oz and was 19 3/4" long

Her Daddy and her Mommy are both very happy to have their newest little angel join their family

She is the perfect addition to the Hamblin home

Oh, and she loves her pacifier...

And the blanket her daddy made her

Sarah has been in our home for a few days now and has already blessed our lives. She brings so much joy to her sisters, they can't wait to see her in the morning and give her kisses, sometimes even to the point of waking her up. We have had our trials over the past few days but have overcome them and now she is a happy baby that loves to eat, sleep and poop. I can't wait to see her grow up and become a beautiful little girl just like her sisters.

Pregnancy #3

A number of you have been asking to see pictures of me pregnant. Since I had not taken any till recently, due to my huge amount of weight gain, I had not posted. Well Paul was kind enough to comment on my large size and wanted to take some pictures so here they are.

From a Front angle view I look like any pregnant woman, cute, a little round, just sticking out a little bit. but...

From the side I jut out like I have a watermelon hiding under there. I still look at myself as I pass by a mirror and wonder what, or how many, I have growing in there.

As of December 1st I weighed 172lbs. That is a 47lb weight gain. I don't want to compare myself to when I had Emma because the weight was much more obvious then, but I have almost gained the same amount. Well hopefully its all me and I'm not going to be delivering a 25lb baby. Wish me luck.

ICE!!!

Two of my brothers, Eric and Paul, decided to come visit Dallas at the same time. We were so lucky to get to see both of them. Of course my brother Eric, an ER doctor, stayed at the Gaylord Texan so we had to go take a tour and see the ICE Exhibit. Here are a few of our pictures.

They didn't want you to touch any of the ice sculptures in the exhibit so they offered a wall that you could get it out of your system before you went in. Eric did!

The Ice Slide (had contractions for about 3 hours after going down this, I'd pay $20 to do that again)

It was very cool to see all of the things they could do with ice, although 20$ a ticket for adults was pretty pricey for a 30 minute experience, it was worth it. Thank you Eric

Texas weather

One evening the girls and I were sick of being stuck in the house, so we went on a walk outside. It was a nice evening, it had been raining and was starting to slow so we decided to go around the block. I put raincoats on the girls just in case, it was still sprinkling, and I just wore a sweatshirt. Well by the time we got about half way around the block it started to rain harder, and harder, and harder till it was finally pouring. It was too late to turn back so we just kept walking. It was actually quite refreshing. By the time we got home the puddles extended into the road atleast 2ft. The girls had a blast splashing and riding their bikes around in it.

Mud Bath

The girls had a friend over the other day and they were playing out side while us moms made cinnamon rolls. We check on them every once in a while and one time when we looked out the window Ann Marie looked like this...
Little did we know that she had been doing this...

That bucket was filled with the most filthy water i had ever seen. It had rain water, rocks, mud and grass/leaves in it. I think the girls were making some kind of stew. Well none the less they all took baths afterwards.

Impending Doom!

Roy mowed the lawn the other day and little did I know the drama it would bring to our children. Our back lawn has recently developed an overgrowth of small purple wildflowers, and I guess Emma grew quite attached to them because as Daddy started up the mower she immediately burst out in tears. She grabbed a bowl and sat down in the grass and began picking all the flowers she could to "save" them. I couldn't help but wonder of what her frantic little mind was thinking as the mower got closer and closer and finally destroyed all the beautiful flowers.
